Will a work visa for Italy or Greece let me work in Spain? They are all EU countries.

Will a work visa for Italy or Greece let me work in Spain? They are all EU countries.?
Long story short, finding a company in Spain to take an American is not easy. I am not able to find anyone that will bother with the paper work and effort needed for me to obtain a work visa. They have enough citizens of Spain without jobs that they do not need to bring in Americans to take what little jobs are left. I do have friends in Italy and Greece that can offer me a position in their companies that only my talents and skills could possibly fill that would then allow me to obtain a work permit in either of those countries. Now my question is could I use the work permit from another EU country in Spain? From what I have seen online most companies require "valid EU working papers" but they do not say from Spain. But I can only assume I am missing something. Does anyone know. For personal reasons I need to be in Spain.

No, the benefits to work in any of the EU member states are only for EU citizens, as a foreigner you have to apply for a work permit in the country where you intend to work, if you move to another country, even if it's within the EU, you have to apply again. I'd suggest you to go to Italy, once you're there, things will be easier for you. They're thinking of implementing a new immigration system for all the EU so that an immigrant from one country can work in another country without a problem, but that's going to take a while. Here's a link that may help you get an idea, I tried to find a more recent article but couldn't find one. Hope it helps! http://www.bbc.co.uk/caribbean/news/story/2007/10/071023_blue_card.shtml

No, concerning tourist travel the European countries have opened up their internal borders and allow tourist to visit 25 countries on the continent on one tourist visa for up to 90 days in a 6 months period. For longer stay in a country (beyond 90 days) you will still need a national visa or residence permit for that particular country. The same applies for a work permit. A work permit issued by Italy is valid for Italy only, it cannot be used to work in Spain. The only exception is the "Van der Elst" visa which allows members of the foreign workforce of an international operating global player to be temporarily assigned to a dependency in another country. The blue card for all of Europe was a discussion of EU politicians and is off the table based on the economic situation at present. Valid EU working papers means that the applicant must have a EU citizenship with the right to work freely throughout the European Union. This is often added in job advertises since some citizens of the newly added EU member countries which joined the European Union after 2002 do not have that right in full at preseent. If you need to be in Spain you must try to find an employer in Spain willing to go through the burden of justifying why his vacancy cannot be filled on the European labor market, hard nowadays. Sorry but those are the hard facts.

You can only work in the US if an employer sponsors you for a work visa. In order to get sponsored for a work visa you need to offer an useful skill and also the higher your degree is, the better. Knowing English isn't an useful skill for working in the US - most people are fluent (though websites like this make me sometimes doubt this), maybe translating between Greek and English, though I don't think there will be a lot of demand for that. Your degree from a Greek university should be accepted in the US, you probably will need to pay for some degree evaluation at some point, which however is just a formality.
2 :
To work in US, you must obtain Temporary Workers visa. To obtain Temporary Workers visa, you must have a US Employer who has to file Petition for you first. http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1275.html
3 :
If you want to work here, you need a work visa which is obtained by getting an employer to sponsor you. Unless you are highly educated and highly skilled in a profession that is needed in the US,you aren't going to find an employer to spend thousands of dollars to be your sponsor.
4 :
Pick a visa There are basically NINE ways that you can get a visa to live and work in the US: (1) Marriage (or engagement in anticipation of marriage) to a US citizen. (2) You have skills that are in short supply in the US e.g. scientific or medical training. A degree is normally a must. Or you have superior specialist skills with at least 12 years experience. (H visas) (3) You have an Employer who is willing to transfer you - but even the employer has to make a good case for you - so you have to be a manager unless you fall under category (2) above.(L visas) (4) You may get a Green card in the diversity lottery (UK citizens, except N.Ireland, are not generally eligible unless you, your spouse or parents were born abroad or held a different citizenship. (5)You own or buy business (does not get you permanent resident status i.e. no green card)You must be a national of a qualifying Treaty countries. The business must have a minimum value of around $150k (more the better) bearing in mind you will need somewhere to live and with any startup business you will need at least 2 years living money as back up. So a figure of $350k would be a nearer minimum (E-2 visas) (6)You are an "investor" i.e. you have at least US $1m in assets to bring with you. half of that in a few areas. And your background will be investigated to the hilt. (EB-5 visas) (7)You have a close relative (mother, father, brother, sister and no further) who is an US citizen who would sponsor you, approx time this take 2-12 years? (8.The R1 visa is available to foreign members of religious denominations, having bona fide non-profit religious organizations in the U.S., for entering the U.S. to carry on the activities of a minister or religious worker as a profession, occupation or vocation (9)THE UNUSUAL You are in a position to claim refugee status/political asylum. or You get a member of Congress to sponsor a private bill with legislation that applies just to you. The S visa issued to persons who assist US law enforcement to investigate and prosecute crimes and terrorist activities such as money laundering and organized crime Recruitment agent will not take you seriously if you are not already in the US. Writing for jobs is really a waste of time; likewise US employers have no idea what foreign qualification are or mean (except Degrees) it may pay you to get your qualification translated into a US equivalent, there are Companies that do this (www.wes.org) .. But if you are getting a visa under (2) above then you need a job offer before you can get the visa. Your Employer will be your sponsor this will cost them upward of $5k. So you can see you have to be offering something really special to get considered They may also have to prove to the Dept of labor that there is no American who can do the job if the position is to be permanent © follow the flow chart http://immigrationroad.com/green-card/immigration-flowchart-roadmap-to-green-card.pdf

How is it working out in AMerica? Pretty well, if you ask me.

Ask the two that died in the fire set by radical protesters. Not so good I think. And if you want a glimpse of our future under the liberals, you're seeing it unfold in the EU.
4 :
what is not working is the right wing ideas of one european govt to eliminate borders exploit labor and spend and borrow. this is right wing buddy...just like it is in the USA.... You low information people talk about USA is going socialist when in fact for the last 30 years we have been going right wing. Dont believe me...compare today's govt stance vs union today to 30 years ago. compare trade policy, compare health care, compare the military, compare spending on infrastructure, compare the federal tax code....... you will find 30 years ago..all those policies were more liberal and today's are more right wing.

Ideas for a job in Greece

Ideas for a job in Greece?
Firstly, is it true that i need to become a Greek citizen before i can 'legally' work in Greece? What would i have to do in order to be able to work? Also, can anyone offer ideas on a job i can take which doesn't require me to speak fluent Greek? I can speak a little, but definitely no where near fluent. Thank you very much, i'm really in need of some good ideas.

No idea about the authorization to work, but you may be able to teach English as a second language.
2 :
You might want to check the legal requirements and research about it more before you go there. For instance, what are the work requirements in Greece? What kind of visa would I need? Hope this helps.
