i believe you have to call verizon and call them and ask for a special sim card to put in ur phone so that it will work in Europe

I don't think Verizon is a GSM network meaning you put in a sim card. If I am wrong and it is call verizon to get your sim unlocked (meaning you will be able to use any network around the world). Upon arriving in Greece buy a sim card and minutes. If I am right about what kind of network your on then call Verizon and get an international plan so you will able to use your phone in Greece.
