In a few years I would like to work in Greece or Germany. Im wondering what all as a nurse I would need to do?
I imagine I would need to get a visa, etc. Does anyone know the route I would need to take and how long it takes to do this? My boyfriend is in the military and we would go together.

you already know whats the nurse's job right, you should have an experience first, passed all your exams and apply for a job in that country youre going to before you step in that land...depends on how fast you will process ur paperworks

Ella! Ella! Efcharisto! I lived there for a year and have really no idea. However, they have a parliatarian government where the Prime Minister essentially runs the government and the President is the Executive but essentially powerless. He is the person that greets foreign dignataries.

not to you, but it is most likely that he could get it

Your father could get it but you would have to try for your own in that country.. No one can pass you the citizenship..

The citizenship by decent only goes to one generation, that means ur father surely can get Greek citizenship, but he cannot pass it to you. However if your father gets the Greek citizenship by decent, you can surely apply for ancestry visa to Greece & live in Greece for 5 years to claim ur citizenship. Keep in mind to claim Greek Citizenship u must be speaking fluent Greek (that shouldn't be a problem for u because grand parents must be speaking Greek with u anyway). Good luck.

if u are ready to deal with whole lot of buraceucy and endless paper work and be patient u will find something, better u find a local to help you,the reality is different that what u hear or see ,its a complicated country with rules not even the locals understand and i dont know how people even local manage ,u can find a job for sure but dont expect a great one ,dont aim too high u got to see for yourself

No, Greek jobs are there for the Greek people. Unless you can find a job that the Greek government are statisfied that no other Greek citizen can immediately fill, and you can prove it through endless paper work then you might have a chance. Otherwise a simple sales job isn't going to cut it with the Greek government, there's plenty of Greek citizens who'd happily take the job.

Well, the main criterion for getting a job in Greece is to know the language. Of course that depends....in the islands where most of the customers are foreigners knowing the language is not so critical. I agree that you have to go through some paperwork but it's possible. If you want more info you can ask the Greek Consulates in the U.S.A - check the following link.
